Packing:

210 Litres Drums
Date of issue:01.09.2009
PDS No. 50610

Introduction / Specification :

Quenching Oil Hs 70 is high speed quenching oil blended from highly refined paraffinic base oils and unique additives to optimize heat resistance to the oxidation and to adhere to the surface of the working piece by providing bright finish due to reduced sludge forming tendencies with minimum distortion. Quenching Oil Hs 70 exhibits excellent thermal stability, retains its original viscosity in normal service and has high flash point to minimize fire hazards.

Application / Composition :

Quenching Oil Hs 70 is recommended when deeper and more uniform hardening is required in steel, particularly lean in alloy content. Quenching Oil is also suitable for steel parts having variable sections and odd shapes with different hardenability.

Synquench Oil (GRADES: 330 & 440)

Packing:

210 Litres Drums
Date of issue: 01.09.2009
PDS No. 50630

Introduction / Specification of Synquench Oil :

Synquench Oil are non-flammable polymeric quenchants which are an aqueous solution of liquid organic polymers with biocides and antifoaming additives, but without nitrite corrosion inhibitor. This colourless homogeneous solution however separates from water as an insoluble phase (inverse solubility) at temperature above 74°C. When hot metal is quenched in a diluted solution of Synquench Fluid / Oil, a film of the liquid organic polymer is deposited on the surface of the hot metal. The rate at which the metal is cooled is governed, in part, by the thickness of the polymer - rich film. The thickness of this film is controlled by the concentration of the quenchant in the quench bath. The cooling rate is controlled by adjusting the quench bath temperature and / or the rate of agitation.

Application / Composition of Synquench Oil :

Synquench Fluid can be used for : The heat treatment of carbon and alloy steels by flame, induction and submerged induction heating With wrought, case and forged aluminum alloys Non-ferrous metals such as titanium alloys, bronzes Forged parts that are quenched directly from the forge Sensitive shapes / intricate geometry and alloys of different metallurgy.

Performance Level of Synquench Oil :

Synquench Oil minimize the replacement control of the product because of its low deterioration and oxidation rate. The major make up requirement is water for the loss by evaporation.

Grades – EASTTO QUENCH OILS 22, 32, 68, SPECIAL 22, 32, HS 70 EASTTO MARQUENCH 220, 460

Introduction / Specification :

EASTTO QUENCHING OIL series are slow to high speed quenching oils developed for the heat treatment of ferrous metals in a wide variety of quenching operations. They provide excellent thermal and oxidation stability offering long service life with minimum sludge formation. Their low volatility characteristic reduces oil loss from the vaporisation and the uniform heat dissipation property minimises stress and metal distortion ensuring uniform hardness. Quenching oils divided into following categories

• Straight type Quenching oil • Compounded type Quenching oil • Additive type Quenching oil • Mar quenching oil

Application / Composition :

They are recommended for hardening of ferrous metals such as Carbon steel, Gray iron and High-alloy steel. It is used in quenching of Crank shafts, Gear parts, automotive leaf springs, High speed tools, Nut bolts, Bright bars and Industrial components.
